Join our Team

We’re passionate about harnessing the power of theatre and storytelling to combat humanity’s biggest challenge – the climate crisis. We are a company driven by ambition, energy, and an unending hope that, together, we can rise to the challenge and build a greener future. No matter your age or experience.

We’re frequently on the lookout for people who feel the same way. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and be the first to know when applications open. Or, if you feel that you’d be a particularly good fit, please do get in touch with some information about you, and why you’d like to work with us.

As a core part of our Equal Opportunities Policy, we guarantee that 50% of interviewees for every role will self-identify as coming from a background currently under-represented in the arts.

BOARD MEMBERS VOLUNTEER POSITION, QUARTERLY MEETINGS

2023 was the company’s most ambitious year yet, with two iterations of our pop-up venue through the summer, and the majorly successful Christmas project The Lost Library of Spitalfields Market, to which we added 4 extra dates due to popular demand! As a result, the company is in a strong financial position at the beginning of 2024, and is on the verge of significant growth. We are using this time to take stock of our composition, and to look for a more permanent home for the organisation, with the aim of opening a longer-term theatre by mid-2025, if not sooner.

As part of this, we are looking to grow the company’s Board of Trustees, and to convert the company’s legal structure from a Community Interest Company (C.I.C) to a charity (C.I.O).If you want to help shape a greener future for the arts and beyond, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for:

The Greenhouse is interested in hearing from a broad range of candidates for this role. We are particularly interested in working with trustees with the following backgrounds or skillsets:

  • Legal and Compliance (particularly in an arts and non-profit context)
  • Finance, Fundraising, and accounting
  • Sustainability (carbon emissions and/or materials)

We are also interested in hearing from creatives in any discipline.

Most importantly though, if you are interested in the company’s mission, and feel that you could offer something to our boards structure, we would love to hear from you!

PLEASE NOTE – The Greenhouse Theatre is currently based in London. However, also encourage applicants based elsewhere in the country, who can attend board meetings remotely (i.e via Zoom or similar).

To Apply:

To apply, please download the information pack. Then, when you are ready, submit a CV and an additional piece of media via the linked Google Form outlining why you’re an appropriate candidate for the role. This could be a brief cover letter, or an audio recording/video. We encourage you to apply in whatever format suits you.

The deadline for submissions is 23:59 on Friday 15th March. Interviews will take place on the weeks commencing the 25th of March.
