Waste Age Stories

“There once was a boy who loved Tin Cans.”

In summer of 2021, the Design Museum (Kensington) reached out to The Greenhouse. They were compiling an exciting new exhibition, showcasing all of the amazing work that designers can do to remove waste – both through the design process, and in everyday life.

As part of this project, we collaborated to co-produce a wrap-around event. A fantastical, fairytale, musical, storytelling event to help their audiences join up the dots, and build personal, emotional connections with the exhibitions and its key themes.

Created specifically for families, this magical show was interactive, popping up and disappearing in the foyer of the Design Museum throughout the performance days. Audiences could choose between one of three original fairytales, and watch as the story unfolded before them.
