This winter, The Greenhouse Theatre is bringing something new, unique, and quite magical to Spitalfields Market, London. We’d love for you to join us!
Where: 8 Market Street, Spitalfields Market, E1 6DT
When: Weds 29th November to Sunday 24th December (closed Tuesdays)
The Venue
This Christmas, The Greenhouse are creating The Lost Library of Spitalfields Market – a library, a junk shop, and so, so much more. They will be creating the library in a disused shop, and audiences will be invited to step right into the library.
You can join us for a show, uncovering the history and happenings of this very library. Or, you can spread the festive cheer by joining us at our zero-waste bar, and taking part in our range of events. However you take part, you’ll join us in a truly unique, magical location created to offer a cosy, welcoming, and unique festive experience!
The Show
Events
The Lost Library will play host to daily events – ranging from Christmas Carol Sing-Alongs to Sustainable gift wrapping, and a whole lot more. They are running all through December, and most importantly, they are all totally free. You can book tickets, or there will always be some tickets available on the door. However, events are first-come-first-served!
The Bar
The Library will be complete with an innovative zero-waste bar. As well as our usual fare of beer, wine, and cocktails, the bar will be updated with some festive offerings, including mulled wine and mulled cider. It will be open from 4:30pm most days.
Getting here
Where possible, we encourage all attendees to walk, cycle, or take public transport to the venue! The Lost Library is situated on Market Street in Spitalfields Market, near Kill the Cat taproom. Walking through Bishop’s Square, you’ll enter a covered alleyway, and you should see us there on the right!
