This Year1

The Greenhouse returns in 2020, with a new and exciting programme. This year, we’re adding a new location to our roster, appearing in London before returning to the Edinburgh Fringe. With a collection of 6 shows – you can see the programme here – as well as our usual offering of workshops, events, and outreach programmes, we’re helping people build connections with their natural environment, humanising the climate crisis, and inspiring individual action.

Location: Little Wormwood Scrubs, W10 5LL

Construction Dates: 1st May – 27th May

Performance Dates: Thurs 28th May – Sun 21st June

Shows: As You Like It, Matthew Rawcliffe, 12, Cass

That’s right, we’re expanding to London this year, bringing our unique brand of eco-friendly theatre to the nation’s capital. There’s one show every evening during the week (except for Tuesdays, when we’re closed). On the weekends, we have a matinee, as well as afternoon workshops and evening events – don’t be a stranger, feel free to hang around for the whole day. And remember, shows are just £5 while workshops and events are totally free, so it won’t put too much of a dent in your wallet either.

Location: Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, Infirmary Street, EH1 1LZ

Construction Dates: 14th July – 31st July

Performance Dates: 7th August – 31st August (no Tuesdays)

Shows: As You Like It, Matthew Rawcliffe, 12, Cass, human/nature, Starburnt Lovers

Of course, we’ll be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe too – there’s still a long way to go in making it much more sustainable. In Edinburgh, we’ll be presenting a daily programme of 6 shows, along with workshops, events, and our brand-new outreach programme for supporting other artists to be more sustainable. As in London, all shows are £5, while workshops and events are free – so at least someone’s trying to make your Fringe trip a little cheaper.
